Frequently Asked Questions
How are the classes structured?
The class begins with a warm up consisting of cardio work and stretches. We then move on to the pole where you will be taught spins, tricks and linking moves. There will also be time to practice what you have been learning. We end the class with cool down stretches.
What Clothes Should I Wear?
It is recommended that you wear shorts and t-shirt for the pole work, although you can wear jogging bottoms if you feel uncomfortable in shorts (although, this will hinder your ability to do certain moves). You may want to wear jogging bottoms for the warm up and cool down.
What Footwear Should I Wear?
It is recommended that you wear trainers or dance shoes. You may wish to go barefoot whilst on the pole.
What Are The Benefits?
With continued attendance you should notice improved muscle tone and strength.
What Are The Risks?
As with any physical activity there are risks involved. Participants may notice bruising and may ache from doing physical activity that you are not used to. You should not use any body lotions or oils before classes as these make the pole slippery which could cause injury. People who are pregnant, have recently undergone surgery or have an injury should not pole dance.
Is Stripping Involved?
NO! The classes are fitness based. We do not teach stripping / lapdancing.
Who Can Attend?
Anyone can attend the classes no matter what your shape or size. Participants must be 18 or over for insurance purposes but there is no upper age limit.
